Hiring and retaining employees is expensive. So often, companies drop the ball once that new hire is made. Even large organizations with thousands of employees lack systems to appropriate integrate a new employee into their organization. Shocking, I know! With proper on-boarding, you can turn a new employee into a productive contributor at an accelerated pace.\n\nWe got a new puppy. Dakota, an adorable Shih Tzu, is the newest member to our family. In just a few short weeks she has brought lots of joy, laughter and love. \n\nA first time dog owner, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve learned a lot, in a short time. Many of these lessons can be applied to on-boarding a new employee successfully as well.\n
- \n
- Make them feel part of the family (company)

- Provide clear expectations and set boundaries

- Feed them ( knowledge and information)
- Take time out to see how they are doing
- Bad habits form quickly, address them right away
