Over 200 women gathered at the Balboa Bay Club to help grant wishes to children with life threatening diseases at the second annual This Old Bag – Power of the Purse event benefiting Make- A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire. A highlight of the day was hearing Wish Kid Kate, share her journey of survival after being diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a type of bone cancer. Kate told the crowd how much being granted her wish to be a model meant to her and her family.
This group of women shared an enhanced desire to help and a deepened commitment to philanthropy. Through their collective giving at the event, more deserving children will be granted their wishes. Since 1983, our chapter has granted over 5,000 wishes.
